Your team belongs in the Arena. Take on the same blocs as the pros in separate rounds, compete in the Amateur category and stay for both finals.

Team Boulder Arena 5 is a team bouldering competition for everyday climbers too.

On Saturday 10 October 2026, bring a teammate to Climbing District Tottenham Hale and take on the TBA5 competition boulders.

Amateur and Pro teams tackle the same blocs in separate rounds. Each category has its own ranking and final. You get the excitement of sharing the Arena with top climbers without being ranked against them.

How the Amateur competition works

Grab a teammate, enter Amateur and see how far you can go together.

START TOGETHER

One competitor ticket covers a team of two. You climb as a pair and share a score. The opening qualifier blocs start at around V2, so you can find your feet as the challenge builds.

FOUR MINUTES PER BLOC

A new boulder is released every four minutes. Complete it within the time to keep your team in the competition. Your strategy and support for each other matter as much as the sends.

YOUR OWN FINALS

The Amateur category has its own ranking and final. Pro teams tackle the same competition blocs in separate rounds, so you can enjoy the shared Arena atmosphere without being ranked against them.

The winning Amateur team receives a team competition entry ticket for the Amateur category at TBA5 Paris on 13–14 November 2026.

The climbing is only part of the day.

Each competitor gets a TBA5 T-shirt and a partner goodie bag. Osteopath services will also be available in the gym.

When your team finishes competing, your competitor ticket lets you stay to spectate the Amateur final and Pro final. Watch the competition play out from the other side of the mats.

Amateur competition FAQs

Everything you need to know before you and your teammate enter.

No. The Amateur category is open to climbers who do not meet the Pro eligibility criteria. The opening qualifier blocs start around V2. If anyone on your team has represented their country regionally, nationally or internationally, your team must enter Pro.

No. Amateur and Pro teams climb the same competition boulders in separate categories, with separate rankings and finals.

Choose a teammate and book one Amateur competitor ticket for your team of two. The ticket price is per team, not per person. The event currently lists non-mixed Male and Female team formats.

Your competitor ticket still includes access to spectate both the Amateur and Pro finals. Stay and enjoy the rest of the event.

The winning Amateur team receives a team competition entry ticket for the Amateur category at TBA5 Paris on 13–14 November 2026.

Each competitor receives a TBA5 T-shirt and a partner goodie bag. Osteopath services will be available in the gym.

Amateur competitors must be 16 or older on the day of the event.

Competitor ticket sales close at midnight on Tuesday 6 October 2026. TBA5 London takes place on Saturday 10 October at Climbing District Tottenham Hale.

Your team’s check-in time will be confirmed in the competitor information before the event.
